Welcome to a space where your mind & body meet.
Explore this phase of life with Moon Rise Counselling.
This world is busy. Your lists are long. There are meetings to schedule, groceries to buy, and family matters to take care of. Connection might take too much work and intimacy seems nearly unattainable these days. External representations of happiness and success on screens often cloud your judgment, making it hard to remember what actually matters.
You are carrying a lot.
With all that stress, you may find yourself feeling:
An immense pressure on your shoulders to ‘do it all’.
The constant inner battle to believe you’re good enough.
Stress about motherhood—wanting kids, not wanting kids, fertility, parenting, you name it.
Feeling lost about how to define yourself outside of your role as a parent, partner, or professional.
Uncertainty and fear when a transition or life change presents itself.
High levels of anxiety that you just can’t get rid of.
Does that sound familiar?
I’m glad you’re here.
I am here for you to provide support as you heal and grow, finally address the nervous system dysregulation in your body, strengthen your self-awareness, and help you to reconnect with your many parts without feeling overwhelmed and alone.
Let’s begin.
How can I support you?

I facilitate this program over 6-8 private sessions, that focus on strengthening the parent-child relationship through learning how to recognize and meet your child’s needs. View COSP website →
Hello, I’m Ella.
Ella Moynihan, MA, RCC
Registered Clinical Counsellor
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor dedicated to supporting others wade through the murky, uncomfortable, sometimes painful, parts of life. By moving through challenges with counselling support, there are so many more opportunities to reflect, explore, process, grow, and to reconnect more deeply with the self.
I specialize in perinatal mental health which spans pre-pregnancy, like reproductive health and navigating conception, all the way through pregnancy, birth, and the early years of parenthood.
My experiences navigating the health and fertility challenges of endometriosis, an abrupt and all-encompassing wave of perinatal depression during pregnancy, as well as the grief and loss of miscarriage, have guided me towards the work I am honoured to do today.
Often the best things in life are unexpected, but so are the hardest things. If you find yourself somewhere unfamiliar or lonely, reach out. Believe it or not, you don’t have to do this alone.
Let’s walk this path together.
My approach.

It’s time to slow down and listen.
You are not alone in feeling anxious and stuck. We can often tell without too much trouble that we don’t feel good, right? But how do we go deeper?
Our mind, our heart, and our physical body, send us signals constantly. They are messages about our desires, our fears, our needs—both physical and emotional. But in order to get things done and push through, we have learned to turn down the volume and set these messages aside.
The thing is, these messages don’t go away. They just get stronger. Uncomfortable physical sensations, anxious feelings, and negative thoughts might begin surfacing more often and making you feel stuck.
How do we shift that stuck feeling? We begin to listen again. It can feel challenging and unfamiliar at first, but with therapeutic support we can invite all parts of the self to communicate. To feel heard. To feel safe.
