Welcome to Day 10!
Today, we’re releasing tension through a somatic exercise. Shaking out stress from the body helps us let go of physical and emotional tension, inviting a sense of freedom and lightness. This is a simple, energizing practice that you can do anytime you feel a buildup of stress.

  1. Find a comfortable space where you can stand and have room to move. If this practice feels strange or awkward at first, that’s ok! It can help to put on a favourite song. When you’re ready to begin, start with a few deep breaths, letting your body relax.

  2. Begin gently shaking out your hands, then your arms, letting the movement be loose and free. Slowly add in shaking your shoulders, legs, and even your head if that feels good. Let your whole body join in, as if you’re shaking off anything you don’t need to carry.

  3. Continue for 1-3 minutes, moving in whatever way feels natural. You can make this as playful or as gentle as you like. When finished, take a few deep breaths and notice the sensations in your body—any lightness, tingling, or calm.
